Why?

Why make anything? Why create at all? Is it to scratch your own itch or for some other reason like approval? How do you make something unique and still appeal to an audience? Its tough for sure, sometimes you just have to follow your own vision and make something you like, and if you do it enough it will attract others. Somes you find everything you make simply too abstract for anyone else to be interested in. The only thing to do ever is just to keep making stuff. Make terrible things, make brilliant things but put in the work and keep going.

If you get bored or uninspired, go outside and experience the world. Climb a tree, get those gear turning then get back at it! Its all to easy to get stuck doing the same thing. Make the art you want to make to scratch your own itch first. Make what you HAVE to make or you will die. Get out what you MUST say, then and only then should you show your work to the world. Then you will find of course, that what you made means something different to everyone who experiences it. That can be heartbreaking, for the audience to not see the message. But its actually beautiful. Life and art is simply creating unique experiences. Give someone that moment of transcension give them an unique experience that they will remember forever, even if they forget your work they will remember the emotion they felt. Make the art you have to make no matter the audience and find that experience!
