Failure or undiscovered genius?

Everyone wishes they could rip the mask off and and show the world their true self. I am somewhat convinced this is all art is, someone trying to show the world their soul without giving to much of it away.

But isn’t it really easy to just pretend the world is against us. To be convinced of our own natural talents and if only THEY could see. Does that seem honest? Do you really think Kanye or Johnny Cash didn’t put in years of work honing their craft?

Would you rather try and fail and try again, or never finish a project because you can’t be honest enough with yourself that maybe your art needs work. Or that you need work (don’t we all?) who cares about the tools. Spend time creating, then editing, the publishing, then starting over again! Real artists fail, are you an artist or just a poser?
